Taking a Birth Class and Having a Doula Helped Morgan During Her Hospital Birth

When did you realize you were really in labor?

During the new Beauty and The Beast Movie with my husband, daughter and mother in law. I thought either he's trying to punch his way out or I'm having contractions.
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

Take a birth class and I had a doula the first time. Having a husband that was super supportive.
What surprised you about your birth?

How fast it was! I arrived at the hospital at 1:00am and I was 4cm he was born at 3:02am!
Get support and education on birth/pain management etc.!
What pain relief strategies worked best?

Birthing tub, low guttural moaning, breathing on top of the contractions.
What position did you end up delivering in?

On my back, holding my legs up on a flat bed.
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

I was in shock! I couldn't believe he was actually here!
What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

Get support and education on birth/pain management etc.!
