    Having to be hooked up to so many different things and not being able to walk around... Hospital rules!!!
    The nurse told me that the anesthesiologist went home at 8pm and after that if I wanted an epidural it would take a long time so I might want to go ahead and get one ?

    I read books with my husband on how to be a wonderful coach.. to keep in mind that once it's over the pain is gone and you have the most precious gift !

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    How long I stayed at 7cm.. Figured after 5 natural births it would be quick but NO
    It was 12 hours and the last 4 hours were very intense. I stayed at 7 for hours .

  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    Husband rubbing my middle back and feet.. other than that I didn't have to many options because of the rules at the hospital. I couldn't even sit up because the monitors would go off..

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    Typical hospital way, in a bed with legs up.. but he came out in 2 good pushes

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    I was very exhausted but it was amazing..

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?

    It's mind over everything... The reading helped and my coach was amazing ?
    Always remember it's like a game it's the only time in life that you get a truly beautiful surprise the pain is worth it
