What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
I didn't plan on a natural birth. I had an epidural with my precious 2 children, and it went so well with both I figured I would have one again. It was intense and came on a lot faster than expected!

I knew to expect the unexpected. You can plan and plan, but it will never go exactly as you anticipated

What surprised you about your birth?
Getting to the hospital and having the nurse tell me I was 9.5 cm was unexpected! I figured I would labor for hours, but I was ready to push in 15 min after I arrived

Don't be afraid. Fear is the main struggle with birthing naturally. Your body has this! Let your body do it's thing!

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Breathing and concentrating through the contractions. I really wanted to be alone and focused.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I used a squatting bar at first, and then ended up delivering laying back on my side

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Amazing!!! Being my 3rd, I was so proud that I could do it naturally. Holding your baby for the first time is perfect

Don't be afraid. Fear is the main struggle with birthing naturally. Your body has this! Let your body do it's thing!
