When did you realize you were really in labor?
Others actually realized I was in labor before I did. I knew I was in labor about 4 hours after others said I was in labor.

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
The most challenging thing about going natural was trusting that my body knew what to do. Being a VBAC I was worried that since my body was interrupted at 8cm the first time that my labor would stall and I would be forced into another C-section.

What surprised you about your birth?
There are a couple things that surprised me about my birth. The first is that I did not feel the so called ring of fire, for me it never happened. I also did not feel baby moving down the birth canal. The last thing that really surprised me was that my body knew exactly what to do! No stalled labor, and I dilated from 4 cm to 10 cm in an hour! Baby was also 10lbs 4oz. My body just did that and man do I feel accomplished!

You can do it!!! Jesus made your body capable! Having a good support system was invaluable for me, I would highly recommend, especially if it is your first birth, having a Doula. I am really glad I did!
