When did you realize you were really in labor?
My water broke on my way to the bathroom to pee in the morning...I was literally standing in front of the toilet with my pants still on, and felt the gush! I was confused at first, "did I just pee myself?" (After having 2 kids already, it wouldn't be the first time I sneezed and leaked a little!)

What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Transition! That moment when I say (which I've said out loud all 3 times), "I don't think I can do this!" Then, I do and feel like a total badass.

What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Prenatal yoga with my absolutely incredible and inspirational instructor, who helped not o let prepare my body but more importantly, my confidence. She's all about mantras--this time I used 2 throughout labor that really helped:
"I can do hard things!" And, "There will be space." The last one was incredibly helpful during pregnancy in preparing emotionally for our "Surprise 3rd"

What pain relief strategies worked best?
Keeping my mouth wide open, moving my hips as much as possible on hands and knees, and getting in the water!
-
What position did you end up delivering in?
Hands and knees in the water, then my midwives guided me to rotate around so I could catch my baby!
-
How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
Is this a trick question? Unreal, fabulous, sticky.
