When did you realize you were really in labor?
I was having contractions 30 min apart for 24 hours, so it didn't feel like real labor until they were closer to 10 min apart.
-
What was the most challenging thing about going natural?
Having to leave for the hospital sooner than I had wanted to. I was trying to hold out at home until my contractions were 5 min apart, but the pressure was getting more intense around 8 min and my doctor wanted me to come in.

I think having my first naturally was confirmation that I knew I could do it. I was just praying the process wouldn't be too terribly long, as my first went pretty smoothly.

What surprised you about your birth?
How quickly I progressed in the last 1.5 hours. We checked into delivery room at 9:30am and I was 5 cm dilated and our daughter was born at 11:07am after four good pushes.
