  • When did you realize you were really in labor?

    At 4am on August 24, 2016

  • What was the most challenging thing about going natural?

    The most challenging thing was not expecting the labor process to come so quickly. I didn't feel like I had time to calm myself and get into the zone because the major contractions came on really fast.

  • What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?

    I think the most helpful thing i did was stay active, visit the chiropractor, and consistently drink my red raspberry leaf tea.

  • What surprised you about your birth?

    I really was not expecting to go into labor naturally or for baby to come so fast. My past births usually had to begin with pitocin to get everything moving in the right direction.

  • The best advice I have for going natural on birth is just do it! It's worth it. The pain medications just slow the process and alter your ability to function. When you give birth naturally you are mobile earlier then when having an epidural.
  • What pain relief strategies worked best?

    The pain relief strategies that helped me the most were moving around when i could.

  • What position did you end up delivering in?

    I delivered in a laying position.

  • How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?

    It was amazing and relieving.

  • What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
