Share Your Thoughts 1 Comment Jodea Apr 11 at 3:20 pm I’m not sure where I first heard this name but it really stuck with me. I love the simplicity – it’s a simple, clear, happy name and makes me smile. I love birds and nature, so I like the fact that it fits with that theme, too. My husband and I got engaged in Copenhagen and Laerke is a really popular name there which is a nice link and why we chose to add the “e”. Most importantly, although initially I was convinced my husband would hate the name he loved it too, which sealed the deal. We’ve had overwhelmingly positive reactions to Larke’s name and it really suits her bubbly, fun and happy character. It’s a bit different but not too out there. We love it.
