What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Well I prepared myself to get cut open in my mind but what literally helped the most was knowing that my husband would be by my side the whole time and that I would finally be able to meet my baby boy.

What surprised you about your birth?
Well what surprised me was how fast the surgery went and how fast they were able to get my son out. What also surprised me was the awesome feeling knowing I made something carried him for nine months protected him while I got physically hit and ran over by a vehicle.

Everyone has their own opinion on things, and this is your body, you know it better. You also know your own pain tolerance.

What pain relief strategies worked best?
I had a C-Section so I had a spinal, I could t feel a thing. Afterwards though, I didn't take any pain medication, it hurt as bad as I thought I just got up and walked through the pain, moving was what helped me best about the pain. The more I sat still after walking the more it hurt the next time I got up.

What position did you end up delivering in?
I had a csection so laying down....?

How did it feel to hold your baby for the first time?
It was amazing!! I didn't get to hold him at first my husband did but the doctors put my son to my face and he just started sucking away on my cheek. That is something I will never forget.

What advice can you give to other mamas who want to go natural?
I wasn't able to go natural or not but I think if you want to go natural that's great, if the pain gets too bad don't feel so bad about getting an epidural. Everyone has their own opinion on things, and this is your body, you know it better. You also know your own pain tolerance. And if you go natural do anything that helps get through the pain, because in the end your baby will be worth every ounce of pain. Once you see your precious bundle of joy you will forget everything you have just gone through.
