Share Your Thoughts 6 Comments Kelly Schenk Aug 28 at 12:41 pm I wanted to give my 2nd chance son a name that meant something to me but something that was rare. I used to babysit for a Westin so I chose that name with his middle name being Jesse James. Westin Jesse James Schenk ? Westin Jesse James ???? Reply Westin Aug 26 at 6:44 am Best name ever. Super manly. Great name for your children. I live with this name and its the best. Not a common name like Josh or James, etc. (no offense). Also gives your child bragging rights that the Westin hotel was named after them. Reply Haley Aug 5 at 9:10 pm We chose this name because it’s not over used and it sounds strong and manly. It also went great with the middle name James, which is a family name. Reply Mark Westin Nov 19 at 7:25 pm Hi I’m Mark Westin yup thats my name HAHAHAHA actually it so cool i love this name this name for me it means strong im strong not in physically but emotionally westin is born to be happy and all westin is always wear a smile Reply Stephanie Sep 17 at 9:44 am Westin is named after a very sweet man that was a regular customer of mine, who passed away 3 months before I got pregnant. The man’s name was Dave West, so my son is Westin David Marrell (pronounced Mu-rell which is the middle name for several generations on my father’s side). Westin is 100% a Miracle Baby. I spent 20+ years being told I couldn’t have children, had a rough pregnancy, spent 22 days in the NICU and then came home for about 3 weeks before we ended up in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital because Westin was born with 2 Superior Vena Cava veins, one of which was causing his airway to be collapsed by just over 90%, along with a hole that was connecting his esophagus and trachea. He had surgery just before he was 3 months old and we came home at 4 months old. Today, he is 9 1/2 months old and is strong, healthy and happier than any baby I have ever had the opportunity to be around. I love my son more than anything and I am truly blessed that My Little Miracle Man is still here with me today? Reply Elisha Jun 9 at 7:30 pm I live in georgia but miss home (texas). It made me realize how much i miss the west as opposed to living in the south. I had west stuck in my head and then just came up with westin. I had never heard that name before so i was hoping it wasnt common. But now ive heard it a few times but spelled differently.
