  2. Obviously I’m a Simon and I think it is different and not a comment name but I enjoyed resurching what it means .it makes me quite proud to be a Simon

  3. We named our son after Simon of Cyrene, who helped Jesus carry the cross. We pray Simon will be blessed to live a life that allows him to help others in their time of suffering.

  4. We had a short list of names, and picked after spending a few hours with our baby. It is a family name on my husband’s side, and we thought it was timeless, Biblical, and sounded good. It suits him <3

  5. We chose the name Simon because we like the meaning “God has heard” and we were praying for children and God indeed heard! I did prefer Samuel originally but that name sounds too much like another of our family’s and would have been confusing; but Simon and Samuel mean the same.

  13. He’s a big guy, in a small body. This young man has enough energy for everyone, and his voice is larger than his body. Never a full moment when he’s in the room.

  14. My husband and I still didn’t have a name when he was born, and we are only given 2 days to choose (I live in Thailand). So we were looking up baby names the entire time we were in the hospital. It was difficult because my husband is Lao, and we wanted to make it an easy name for his family to pronounce. We came across Simon and loved how it sounded, and it suited our little boy so well. It’s such a simple name, but also a classic.
