  1. We wanted another name with a nod to my husband’s Hebrew heritage (our older daughter is Tahlia). It means delicate, night, or dark beauty. Though similar to Delilah, we wanted to keep it separate from the biblical story of the woman who betrayed Samson and cut off all his hair, and from modern pop song Hey there Delilah. Originally saw it on a makeup brand named Lilah.b.

  3. So very interesting…. my grandaughters name is Lilah
Sparrow she is 8 yrs. Old and she is so much into Nature
and outdoors. She LOVES reading ( chapter books) …she is very intellectual and so smart.

  4. I really liked the sound of Lila but wanted to make it a little longer so I added the “h”.

  5. Watching August Rush my husband and I fell in love with the name. We had a list of baby names to choose from once we met her. Lilah seems like a playful classic girls name and it seemed to fit her personality.
