  1. Jade very unique different easy to say & write wanted to keep the j tradition my son and starts with J and my husband wanted to keep it up with J

  2. Jade is my oldest. She the only girl in the house! Her name is very special because it was chosen by my Nana when I was only 12. She came for a visit and told me about a beautiful name she heard and said when I grew up and had a daughter I should name her Jade. Her middle name is Leona after my husband’s grandma. We love everything about her name.

  3. I like the name Jade (despite the negative connotations that I discovered not too long ago), because the gemstone so beautiful & has such wonderful properties, even though I don’t like the color green. Plus, it’s pronounced “ZHAHD” over in France, which has about the most pleasant sound I’ve ever heard in a name so far.

I’m planning on legally changing my name in the near future, & I’m using Jade as a “back-up” name. Since it’s just 1 syllable long, it seems to be much easier to pair with both a middle name & a first name, than my primary “new” name.

I can’t really picture a boy or a man named Jade, but I think all the girls & the women out there have one “gem” of a name, whether given or chosen!

  4. The funny thing is that my middle name is Jade and I was born in October so my birthstone is an opal

  5. I love the color green and wanted a simple name! It just works for us 😉

  6. When I was about 12, my Nana came for a visit. We were just talking and she told me that she heard the name Jade a while back and said to me “when you grow up and have kids, you should us the name Jade for a daughter” so I had always know that would be my daughter’s name.
It has become pretty main stream but it’s still beautiful. It is frustrating because people want to call her Jayden.

  7. Love that it is short and sweet

  8. I chose Jade because my oldest is esmeralda and I wanted a stone name again.. also Jade is a milky esmeralda .. my second precious stone..

  9. I like Jade because it can be read in Spanish or English and its totally different in both ways, but it also sounds beautiful in either way
