My partner Darren was also named after an AFL player at the time so it’s a nice tradition. Reply Brooke Mar 14 at 8:09 pm We chose Dustin, but we’re calling him by his middle name – Ryan. We’ve had two miscarriages & my husband really wanted a Jr. So, he is Dustin Ryan Jr, but he goes by his middle name to also give him something after me.. I’ve gone by my middle name my entire life! Reply Rebeka Hutmaker Nov 28 at 9:48 am Both my husband and I had a list of about 30 names. We sat down one night and saw which names we both had on our list. But then my husband said he really liked Dustin that was on my list only…he also wanted to use his dad’s second name Raymond for our son’s second name If I liked it and when we put the 2 together I said we should just use Ray that Dustin Ray sounded nicer than Dustin Raymond. We wanted a name that was neither commun or that people wouldn’t know how to pronounce and only one way of spell it.
