    Blakely is an established name but not common at the same time.

  2. My name has been Blakely for 43 years. For short it is Blake. I am a female. The pro is, I have a unique name and it gets compliments. My name has always suited me- Bold one.
    My parents selected it with some connection with roots to where we come from, there is the USS Blakely, an actress Susan Blakely.
    It took a while to learn how to spell my full name ( including middle) name in school. Ha ha
    Cons…. Many people do not pronounce it correctly and stumble but that is an easy fix. I get confused a a male on my emails, or snail mail.
