What was the most helpful thing you did to prepare for childbirth?
Drinking red raspberry leaf tea and more importantly, incorporating the counter pressure methods to use during labor (i.e. push hips together during contractions).
-
What surprised you about your birth?
How quickly it was from start to finish - just 4.5 hours from the first cramp until my daughter was born. I also delivered on all fours ... the Doctor didn’t tell me to assume that position, but it just seemed the most natural and comfortable position for me. My body took over and switched to that position right before I started pushing.
